History

Family owned for over 60 years, Christy’s Landing has endured as one of the most popular bar & restaurants in the Madison area since Dennis O. Christenson began the Waubesa Beach Club in 1936. Times have changed from the days of the push pole skiffs and oar only fishing boats, but the laid back, friendly feeling of the lake and neighborhood has been a mainstay of Madison ever since.

Dennis’ son, Richard, continued the legacy of Christy’s when he purchased the bar from his father in the early 1970’s. In the mid 1990’s, his children purchased the business to keep the family business going for generations to come.

The Christenson family invites you to enjoy the beauty and recreation of Lake Waubesa and the other wonderful waterways of southern Wisconsin. Banquets

It’s time to book your holiday party at Christy’s. Christy’s Landing has a banquet room on the second floor with a beautiful view of Lake Waubesa. You may rent this room any night of the week except Friday, when it is reserved for our fish fry. There is a deck attached that also provides a wonderful setting for outside entertaining.

Tiki Bar

Enjoy a drink outside at Christy’s. We have a full service Tiki Bar where you can purchase drinks. The Tiki Bar is open Thursday and Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday during the day.
